Torque Convertors?

I remember reading a post about a company who built single disk convertors holding up to 1000 rwhp... and they didn't recommend tripple disk in the past, ect ect but they do now..

Well I dont wanna get caught up in that drama, but which company was it?

DTT I beleive it was, they reasoned that with 3 disks , and the same piston area , that the pressure on the disc was actually 1/3 what it was with a single disk.

BUT They are making triple disk converters now, because that's what alot of customers wanted.
