top speed 65 (12v)
WEll, Ihave a 95 12v, 4x4, auto 355 gears. Itll only turn 1800 rpm and about 65 mph, What kind of things should i look for? My guess would be govenor but who knows.
Also might as well make one post. After i get it fixed i wish to upgrade the power. just a lil modd, nothing fancy. What is this star wheel everyone talks about and how do i adjust this?

Start with basic preventive maintenance such as fuel filter and inspection of the entire fuel delivery system.
My truck was loosing power, too. I estimated the lift (original) was going bad. Filter filter was changed earlier this year and overflow valve last summer.
Well, I started with basics and changed an extremely loaded filter. Fuel pressure tested fine and truck is back to normal.

Might check the throttle linkage, is it opening up all the way? Had mine not going to full power, and realized that my throttle was not going all the way to the floor. Used some WD-40 on the linkage spring, and problem solved.

Is the lift pump still up on the engine? The truck is at my brothers so i cant hop out and check it out. So im comming up with ideas, Ive thoguht throttle, itgoes to the floor, but im wondering if the cable hasnt moved on the pump? or slides a bit or something of the nature
Are the Govener springs in the head the only thing that control engine speed?
As, theres not anything in the pump that stops it?
