I have nitto terra grapplers as well. The only problem, if it rains around here I literally can't take a corner w/out doing a 360. I can't even take off from a dead stop in 2nd, I immediately have to shift to 3rd to keep from breaking them loose.

I haven't seen anything posted on the Dick Cepek radial fun countryII's from Mickey Thompson, the guy I work with has had amazing results in both mileage AND traction with a set of 315's. I've got some Toyo MT's and I'm not all that impressed with the wear I've gotten so far, I figure I'll be lucky to get 50,000kms (30,000 miles) out of them, I expected better. Both of these trucks are used in the oilfield service industry up here and do better than 50,000 miles/year so they see a wide variety of conditions (if they last) the Fun Countrys have put in a year now and still have 20% tread left.

I run Yokohama A/T's. I have 30k on them and have had to replace 2 of them due to blown sidewalls. Other than that they have worn well and provided great traction in all sorts of weather conditions.

Just wanted to add, that I think are trucks need 10ply or higher tires, theres lots of good 8ply tires out there, but I've seen too many blown sidewalls on 8 plys to ever run them again.

I'll say to stay away from the ProComp Mud Terrains. I was really impressed with them early on, for a 315 size tire they balanced out better than car tires, however after putting 15K on them they have worn through the sipes, and are starting to wander pretty bad. the fronts are wearing bad and faster than the rears which leads me to believe that they just can't hold up to the weight. Granted you can't expect a mud tire to hold up the greatest under these trucks, I've seen BFGs come into the shop under diesels that held up a lot better. just my experience so far. I won't buy another set of Pro Comps though.

Basically I'm looking for a good tire that last 50K or so. I've been using Big O XT for over 10 years now because they hold up great in the dirt and mud. But I've never had to chain up with them yet. Bit spendy but not as back as the tires listed above!

Michael, I know you love your Big O X/T... What kind of mileage do you get out of a set, I want something more aggressive that most A/Ts and I have never heard anything bad about Big O tires...
