hey guys ...i was wondering where to get the adapter for the dial indicator for the #1 high pressure fuel line and the washers...the dial indicator and barring tool i got....

i dont really know where to take it to get it to 16 degrees k cause everyone seems to cry about laws ...cant go over 14.5 lalala ...so give me the tools and i'll get it donw in a couple hours...mine's at 12.3 if it hasnt slipped 15 would be awesome

 

I think you can order it separately from Snap-On. I use a magnetic base from the top of the intake. Works for me. It similar to this one. (No camera at home right now) http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...865726083&rd=1 You'll need a delivery valve socket as well. And a puller for the timing gear. I use a little steering wheel puller.

 

You can get everything in one kit from Snap On. Part number is sp-500 I think. You can order it online and get it delivered to your house. About $200 if I remember right. Tim

 

is the dial adapter universal in any way? or is it only this application...its gotta be available somewhere in a tool shop...any ideas?

ps all the big diesel repair shops should have these tools no? or access to them

oh yeah i know the kit is available for 200$ but for 200$ i can get the timing done by a shop!!

beyond canadian tire and home depot and NAPA i dont really know where to go so im hoping u guys can point me in the right direction
