timing a 12 valve
Im trying to get a timing kit to do my own timing and the only one i can find is snap ons 800.00 one I really dont what spend that much unless I have to. Is there any other kits out there, sombody have a part number. I tried searching because i saw a post a few months ago but i cant seem to find it thanks

there is someone selling a cheap kit on ebay but it looks like a oil plug and a centetch gauge its under cummins timing, or should I just buy the snap on and be done with it ?

I'm not sure on what the ebay kit entails but...
I had a dial indicator as well as a spare old cracked drain plug already (have you checked yours?) so for me it was a hour or so of my time monkeying around to make my own. I have used it 5-6 times now and it works perfectly. The DV socket I bought from PDR and here's a picture of the puller (and oil plug holder) I made
