I just ordered a PSC steering stabilizer brace kit for my truck to possibly help extend the life of all the new front end parts i had put in last fall as well as tighten up the steering i a bit and cure the death wobble. Since the new front end parts, i have not had any death wobble yet, but i still want to take all measure of preventing it. Bad thing is that this part is on back order for 3-4 weeks, from every place that i have called today this seems to be about the norm for every brand. Wanted to hear peoples opinions on the product, from what i have read, everyone seems to be impressed with the steering braces. Thanks

Installed one on mine over 3 years ago only mistake I made I should have done day 1 best move (or lack of it) I ever made bar none!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats what i like to hear, i decided to get the brace because i just bought some new 305/70/17 tires to put on my H2 wheels and i figured that the bigger tires were going to put more stress on the front end parts, so for the little money and good feedback about these braces i figured i would get one

My steering is far from perfect with 240K miles, but the PSC brace really helped. Word for the wise, the bearing is nearly impossible to force on the new extended machined nut. I ended up buying a 1" 6 point deep Napa impact socket to use as a drift to pound the bearing into place. I am familiar with freezing one part and heating the other, lots of lube, etc. It took a heavy 25oz framing hammer and a drift.

thanks for that information, i will keep it in mind when it arrives and i put it on, the install looks straight forward enough besides that part.

I love mine it took alot of slack out of the steering from eliminating frame flex. I got mine from www.klmperformance.com he had some in stock.

You shouldnt have to beat the bearing on. Ours has set screws to hold it once it is in place. It just slides on. Less than a 30 minute install from start to finish.

My PSC part had set screws as well, I just think their machining tolerances for the shaft were too close in size to the China bearing. Maybe I just got a really tight one, but let me tell you, it was so tight it definitely did not and does not need a set screw, it would take a huge puller to remove it if I had to.

Yes, You have extremely tight one then. Because mine goes on nicely and then I just have to tighten those screws like kantdrive55 said.

Actually I have the complete psc steering system with 3 turns lock-to-lock quick ratio steering gear.

I got my h2 wheels and 305/70/17 tires on on thursday and the truck rides nice and hadles as well as can be expected, the wandering is not all that bad, but i do notice it a little bit more with the larger wheels and tires. I ordered my PSC steering box stabilizer at a real low price, for the amount of money saved buying the psc, i dont mind waiting a couple of weeks for it to come in. thanks for all the info

Yeah, you're gonna love it. It won't do anything to prevent death wobble, but I got the BD one, and it was super easy to put on and my seat of the pants guess is that it took over 2/3 of the slop out of the steering. Mine might be kind of worse than some though since I have a drop pitman.

Worth every penny. Best fix for a poorly designed frame.
