I cant fail too bad. Worst that can happen is I decide to go with a bigger turbo, and even then I will already have a ported head, manifold, and a cam. Only thing ill really be out is the hybrid, that I could sell anyways How was the super B about hauling stuff Chris? Better or worse than the stock turbo? i kinda would have liked to of had it, and I may still go with a bigger turbo(im always changing plans), but i really didnt want to spend the $ at the time.

On a 24v, I'd say up to 400hp or so, it would be hard to beat. On a 12, I'd say 350hp with reasonable EGT's...more if you don't mind the heat!

I'm looking into buying a new turbo, leaning towards 62/12. I want up to 450 horse, but not daily, just for dyno runs and such. I never tow more than 3k and thats not even once a month. This truck is my daily driver however and can't be to ungodly laggy.

You once casually mentioned to me about driving your new turbo "below the surge line" on the turbo MAP. I don't know many members here that would understand that. I was impressed.
I read most of your threads...just to learn about 12v's (in case I ever get REALLY- REALLY bored, and buy one).

One ride in the truck with the new charger would teach them about it really fast
I appreciate everyones comments...I'm just glad to help out. This is how I learned...that and by buying about 12 different chargers

I was leaning on the 62/14 and yes, 3k is not towing, but thats all I do for now. Converter isn't very tight, but nothing like stock. Do you think the new era 370's with that turbo would be a good matchup? Any experience with new eras edms?

Nope, never tried any new era's!
With a "loose" converter...mine is a "57" DTT and I have no problems driving my new Garrett (63.5mm/.85A/R housing..."like" a 64/14) until it locks up in OD, and it surges a bit. The 62's shouldn't do this unless you load the engine VERY hard at less than 15-1600RPM.
I would say that would be a pretty good setup...maybe a little hot depending on your elevation, timing, and right foot...but very drive able!

If I was to get a new head with 60lb springs and orings then have it ported Im assuming this would move the power up top and make it cool better but have less low end power.
I like the idea of cooling more on top but personally I need the low end for daily driving. Im trying to make 500hp so thats going to be difficult without twins. Maybe water/meth?
