Thinking about swapping my 5 speed for a Auto..??
If I was going to buy a auto trans for swap in place of my 5 speed what type of cost am I looking at for the auto if I purchase it with no core to offer up? And who makes the BOMB auto's?

When I was looking into this, it seems that it would be cheaper to find someone with an auto that wants a manual, that way you can rob both trucks of the expensive small parts and pieces to make it work.
With a 94, you're so old that your ecm or other parts aren't really going to help out the other guy.
I've been contemplating this for a while now, the more I study it out, the more I've decided that it is not worth it, better off to sell mine and buy another truck with the desired tranny.
Good luck, I'm sure you'll get lots of advise from fellow members.
