sorry to steal the thread any ideas on lowering my egt's at cruising speeds?? im going to try towing a 22 ft camp trailer this weekend up parleys canyon just to see what my truck will do and i have a feeling it will not work at all im sure it will be way to high on flat ground let alone up a 4-6% grade and i'll probably be turning around and going home let me know im also going to just water instead of 50/50 meth and set it up to start spraying at a lower boost to try and help

keep that baby wound up!!! the 66 is tough to tow with... it wants to either be lazy or be full tilt. the head work should help, and like you said, run straight water and set your low boost trigger pretty low, but set your high pretty high so that it'll ramp up nice and evenly and not dump too much water at part throttle

Set the egt defueling on the Adrenaline to 1150*, it works great. But, asking it to keep 11 hole injectors plus a silver bullet cool towing heavy over a 7000' pass is asking a lot.

Granted I'm on the east coast with little elevation, but I tried towing with my current setup this past weekend.

M6's and 64/71/14, TST turned off.

Towed almost 10,000 lbs from NC to VA in 90+ degree heat. Average towing temps were around 1150 and got 13 mpg. Smoke was pretty light except when taking off from a dead stop.

mine in overdrive is 1050 to 1300 if i didnt pay attention with only a wheeler in the bed with the overdrive off i was able to keep it around 950 with the adrenaline on stage 0 and it wont go above 1050 when its floored and on 10 on the 3000 tune with 50/50 water meth its around 1450 at 55 lbs but it cools off real fast when i let off..... so is that all i can do is keep the r's up and the boost up when i tow??? and add the water??? anything else i can do???

Well I go by what the manufacture states it to be which is 74mm so that people have an idea of what your really talking about. Im pretty much calling an Orange an Orange and your calling it a Tangerine.

Ok well I'll call it a II Silver Series 62,64,66/74/14,what most diesel enthusiast recognize them as and you can call it a Borg warner 73.495/13.985. What point are you trying to make that you know the exact measurement of the turbo specs? Ok, two cookies for you.

I am simply telling the actual specifications of the turbocharger, maybe actual specific information on a product is not desired?

From a buyer point of view, no. I need all the specific information I can get to make an informed decision. Keep it up, Don Wagner!

Some would really get steamed up around the collar if people knew they could buy a very similar turbo for a lot less than what's typically touted on the boards. Don't you agree, Don?
