Yeah the extra low drive pressure 74mm turbine will have hotter daily driving temps but will cool more and make more power @ WOT then the smaller turbines.

You talking about your 97 or 01? Might work on a 5 speed (manual tranny). I would never add any 66 turbo for daily driving a fueled Auto!
Will still need to relearn how to drive around the smoke is hot weather........and I would not ever consider a 66 for a top turbo in a twin setup!

None back to back but the 74mm turbine looks to be a nice competition charger

the silver series turbine is daily drivable at lower altitudes, but I wouldn't want to tow with one. You could probably get away with towing with a silver 62 on a 3rd gen, but I wouldn't try it on a 2nd gen.

I ran a silver66 on my last 98 for about a week... it pulled really hard on the big end, but it started spooling about 500rpm later than the sps62 I had on there and put BACK on after playing with the 66. MAX EGT's were ~150* cooler, but I couldn't IMAGINE trying to make the trip to our cabin with that turbo!! (cabin is at ~9,000ft, have to go over 12,000 to get there)

Had not heard that before....and BD gives out no info on Turbine or Compressor sizes. Was not knowlegdable enough, at that time, to realize I could have measured it.

As far as I know the compressor wheel is a 66mm trim.

Rowj, just search in the 3rd gen section, a guy upgraded to MPI twins and disected his BD towing setup. I believe the primary is either 65mm or 66mm, can't remember for sure.

The 73mm turbine that the Silverbullet uses is designed to create higher drive pressure than the 71mm or 68mm turbine wheels. The 74mm turbine wheel is an S400 wheel not an S300 wheel.

The BD towing twins consist of an S300G 57/65 0.80AR and an S366 66/73mm 1.10AR.
