thinkin about a valet switch???
I've been thinking about getting a valet switch for the old goat. I've been wanting to give her a little more motor & was kinda afraid to because I do alot of towing, but then I got to reading about these little gadgets & thought man I could have the performance when I want it & still yet not cook the thing when she's loaded, almost like the overvalved crowd , so I was wondering if you guys could tell me just how these things work (mechanical/electrical/both) & where is the best place to get one??? thanks, Dusty

Pretty easy to make your own. The way i did mine is very simple; you just cant turn it on/off int he cab which is kind of a downfall. Today is the first time i have pulled anything since i installed the valet, and i really like it for pulling. Still plenty of power, and EGT's wont get out of control no matter what. If you dont want to spend much money, you can do one like mine for around $5. If you still have a wastegate, you may need some kind of a "T" adapter, or just put a valve inline to block the flow to the AFC instead of letting boost out. Mine has worked very well so far,a nd i really like it for the $. I just couldnt justify $100 for one, so i just did my own. All you have to do is somehow block/relieve the flow going to the AFC housing, and you have yourself a valet. Hope this helps
