Thanks Bob
Got the smarty today and got to play a bit. I've tried sw1,3, and 9. Smoke is all but absent on sw1 and it runs almost like it did before, except no annoying defueling
. Sw3 seemed great for controlling smoke too, but there were still a few enormous clouds generated in testing
Lots of throttle input is required. Sw9 is a whole different story. Its very difficult for me to control smoke on 9. On the interstate a short blast got me to 45 lbs of boost and 1100 degrees. I did notice the 'run away' sensation on 9- where it feels like the smarty is pushing the pedal down for you. I see more boost in the lower gears too. Name the gear and multiply by 5 and thats how much boost I'm seeing in normal smoke free driving: 1st 5, 2nd 10,..
I might just leave it on 1 or 3 until I get a clutch put in. My question is about the warning about the timing on sw1- fuel saver: What should be avoided when using this setting? I'll probably settle on 5 or 7 eventually.
From what I can tell and from what I've been told, once your foot hits the floor, sw3 should produce the same power as sw9- just not as quickly. More testing to be done soon.
Oh and thanks for the candy too Bob
I wondered how you knew I'd be hungry for some candy

Still curious as to why there's a note about timing on the fuel saver mode
Some not normal, not smoke free testing done
Clouds roll, clutch slips, and boost still hits 45 in fuel saver mode
I filled the tank and am going to run fuel saver for a while and see what kind of milage I get.
