Be very careful. I don't know how much stronger the TC you used might be over stock, but consider this- stock torque peak is around 1800rpm (+/-). With modifications, you can expect that to go up a bit. Now, if you have a big load out back (like your 5er), your converter is in lockup, AND you mash the throttle while in (or just below) the torque peak... and if your trans doesn't immediately kick out of lockup, I'm going to say you can easily toast that new TC.
Yes, I think the kit will help, but don't expect to act like you've got an ATS or DTT trans and TC.
Just remember to shift maually at higher rpms and hold out lockup until you have let off the throttle at least part of the way. Remember also that the band for 4th or "overdrive" is smaller than the rest, so it can't take as much abuse.

I just finished a install of the little kit. Some of the wording in the instructions makes you go hummm, however it was not complicated. The only thing I do not like about it is the 1-2 shift happens early no matter pedal position.
