testimony from Van Aaken V5 users...
Looking for a direct first hand experience of the latest Van Aaken V5...ive heard plenty about the older versions and know that this is a bottom end/down low power adder but I wanna know about the new version.
Mine should be waiting at home when I get off work and i am going to install it tonight. Also...I believe this one also taps the pump wire, is this correct? thanks for any answers

I've had mine about 6 months and really like it. It doesn't tap the
pump wire. Thats why I bought it. Plugs into the diagnostic port
and MAP sensor. Real good low end and throttle response. Works
great with my RV275 injectors.

my issue now is i have banks big head WG and set of dd3's (100-115hp) and i am seeing 1350 pre-turbo with 30-32 psi
i am going to find out tonight if the V5 will lower egt's but I doubt it...then i need to find an exhaust housing solution soon

Took the Travel Trailer out camping this weekend for the first
time since adding all the mods. Trailer weighs about 6500#.
Only went up in the foothills to 3500'. I was easily passing
other cars / trucks in 6 gear @ 65 mph. EGT's 1050 / Boost 17#

ok i got the check engine light to go out...started up this morning and it went out immediately hasnt been on since.
i am thinking the way my boost gauge pulls to 20psi and sits there PERFECTLY on 20 psi without ever moving that whoever installed the gauge has tapped into a source that is reading what the boost fooler is telling the ECM...if the built-in boost fooler is telling the ECM its only 20 psi...thats what my gauge is reading and displaying. I want to find out where the previous owner is getting the signal from.

Vanaaken Box
I have had mine for about 2 years and it has a good smooth power and a strong low end. The only issue I have is when its really hot and humid when you shut the truck off it my not start until it cools off and that could be going to the store not far away and not running hard. Mechanic told me its override protection and still not sure if thats it though. But still would like more power so trying to decide to put a boost fooler on or a new box. But it has a reputation as a quality box with great low end.
