I thought I read once that their "performance" converter actually raises the stall speed. I don't know it Summit Racing got the description mixed up or if thats true. Seems to me that would make an even looser converter, and opposite of what we want.

I havent heard a lot(good or bad) about TCI, and I thought about going with them, but ended up going what I think was a much better route. Call Dave Goerend at www.gbtransmissions.com . He sells a single disc converter with a great stall, and backs it with a 100k mile warranty. A buddy runs an 01 Dodge with a Edge Comp, 4 inch exhaust, and RV275 injectors. He loves it so far, and has had no problems with it. He also hauls with it some. I wouldnt expect it to hold a lot more than what he has since it is a single disc, and he has the triple disc for high hp and heavy use, but its a great converter, and Dave will definately stand behind his warranty. His single disc is $650. Thats $130 more than what the TCI you mentioned is, but Dave has awesome customer service, and will treat you right, and take care of you if any problems ever do come out of it. Now im not saying the TCI is bad in any way, because it may last forever; just kinda trying to give you another option to research. Do a search on this site for "Goerend", and you will have plenty of reading. Dont mean to sound like a salesman; just a happy customer. Let us know what you do.
