Tapping the 2001 HO pump wire
To all those 2001.5 HO owners out there with the wire tapped,
have there been any pump failuers yet ? I want to get the
Blue Chip APB fueling only box that taps the pump wire and
stack it with my Van Aaken V5. Hav had no problems with any
of my mods so far and don't want any now

FWIW about 35k (40k to 75k) with the wire tapped and no problems with the vp44 (15k with the Banks Ottomind and 20k with TST pm3). After installing the MAD ECM I don't use the TST box as much leaving it on -0-.

I had the blue chip cover and it worked great. My roommate has an 01 HO and has had his wire tapped for at least 15k miles if not more. His is doing great. He tapped the wire around 60 or 70k and now has 80k or so on it. Original IP.

I would recomend the Blue chip cover...it makes for a very clean instalation and is a good secure conection. And I still have a good bit of warranty left,so I wanted to be able to take the box off and maybe they won't notice it if I need warranty work done.
