T/c Q's
hello all...i am still saving up to buy a new t/c and v/b for my 99 47RE. i figured i would stop in and talk to my local tranny shop about all this and he seems to think even though i do that the tranny will still crap out on me. is there other things i can do to help me here besides buy an entire new one?? i wish us owners got the alisons...

The 47RE is a good tranny, but it could be better. If you have a healthy tranny the VB and TC will make a HUGE difference and add many, many miles to it's life. If it is shot now------rebuild it.
Fill out your sig. What do you do with the truck?

Yeah it completely depends on what shape your tranny is in right now. If it's in decent shape and hasn't slipped yet......then the T/C and valvebody would be the cheapest way to go and will probably last you for quite sometime.
Now on the other hand....if the tranny has a fair amount of miles on it and feels a little weak, then you might just want to save up some extra cash and rebuild the whole thing. In the long run it will save you a little bit of money having it all done the first time.
