Suspension suggestions

Ive got a regular cab longbed truck. It rides terrible when empty like they all do. Except this one gets real skeery when youre going fast and you hit bumps. Like it has no rebound damping it pogo's and jumps around.
Anyone found a good solution for matching the empty bed weight with the right rear leaf and/or airbags with good shocks made for street not offroad?
I have tried rancho 9000 clickers and bilstein 5100's. Still rides like a paint shaker.
Ive seen a lot of nice resevoir shocks but the valving sounds like it favors offroad use. Mine doesnt do much of that.. just really crappy asphalt.
Something purpose made for street or really adjustable would work.
Truck seldom hauls more than 1/2 ton but may in the future.

Try replacing your rear springs shocks alone will not fix this

I did a rear leaf mini-pack upgrade to lift the rear a couple inches, but the ride is the same.
Theres a couple places that offer a soft-ride spring, but I wonder what weight theyre made for? Most of the time the truck is near empty.

I now rear springs have changed year to year I would investigate if the spring length was longer in the newer years, I now the rides very sometimes finding the right combination is trial and error. Maybe a combination airbags and soft springs?

Look into some progressive rate coil springs (example Carli, Kore or Pure).
For the rear Carli has a mini-leaf pack. A combination of both+bilstein shocks has proven to help the ride considerably. This is probably my next upgrade.

Carli will recommend their Hemi coils up front and a full rear leaf pack. Probably their Carli-valved Bilstein 5160's also. Whatever you do,avoid the KORE's. My 2nd rode like a unladen cement truck with their springs on there.

It sounds more like a spring problem. My long bed rides smooth as heck. I run Gabriel shocks, nothing special. It does have a couple hundred pounds in the tool box. If your truck is touching on the overloads or you stiffened it up for a lift, it will never ride as smooth as stock. your lifted coils should be at the stock spring rate, but if not, again, stiff ride. You can throw all the fancy shocks in the world at it, but the springs themselves control the stiffness of the ride. Shocks only dampen it.
