Suspension Lifts for 2nd gen trucks...

Any of you running a suspension lift on your truck? If so, what brand/size lift, and how do you like it? Anyone running one of the longarm setups?
Chris

One more thing - anything out (besides the 2" leveling kits) for the '03 HD's yet?
Chris

Just got the 2" level kit on my truck.
Only thing I can comment on: The level kit does swing the front axle out to the drivers side a bit. Not much... maybe as much as 1 1/2 inches or so.

No other affect that I could tell.

There are before and after shots of my truck here in the member photo section:

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...s.php?album=22

Rich

Re:Suspension Lifts for 2nd gen trucks...

I have a 2inch all around susp lift. the front spacers are BDS and in the rear I added a skyjacker leaf to push up the packs. It rides a little harder but bounces less with the BDS shocks. My alignment is still perfect after lifting it. And with my 10" drop hitch I can still pull a trailer.. bairly. If you have the extra leaf spring pack in the rear you will need longer ubolts other wise the factory ones are long enough. Blocks 4 shocks 1 steering stablaizer and 2 leafs were around 412$ the extra ubolts were 63$ Its not how enough to fit some 36" tires under it, witch was my main goal. This "2 hour" job as I was told ended up taking me a few days. Hope this helps some

I have the 2 1/2" Skyjacker double flex kit, which includes:
* Dual front shocks
* D25 front coil springs
* all 4 new control arms, with heim joints at both ends of each arm
* single add-a-leaf rear spring (which I did not install)

I also installed a DT track bar at the same time as the Skyjacker kit ;D

Tom

Re:Suspension Lifts for 2nd gen trucks...

Thanks for all the responses so far guys.
DieselDaze, have you looked at the trackbar bracket on your front axle at all? There *may* be enough room to redrill the hole offset so that it recenters the axle (this is a common fix on Jeep TJ's, which share a very similar suspension design).
Captain, what tires do you run on your truck? Any pics? I used to run some 305/85/16 Buckshots on my Jeep, and they worked really well - tall and narrow - might be a good choice for you too?
Also, does anyone have web links with more info on the Skyjacker longarm setup that is supposedly out? I can't see anything on www.skyjacker.com . What about the Cepek longarm? Thanks again, everyone!

I have just purchased and have yet to install a 4-1/2" Skyjacker kit. It is the Stage 1 setup. My buddy has this same setup with 315/75-16s and it looks and rides well.

Dave
