Surging problem on 95
A buddy of mine has a '95 auto, recently rebuilt with an aftermarket converter and a shift kit. 370 marine injectors, 191 delivery valves I believe, 14cm wastegated housing, unknown fuel plate, whatever banks sends with the kits.
I drove it last night so I knew what he's complaining about. Around 1100 to 1200 rpms under a load the engine surges, like it wants to give more fuel, but the governer says no. Above or below that rpm it doesn't do it. Its kinda annoying, it does shake the truck pretty good when it does it.
In park when you bring it up to those rpms you can kinda feel something, like the injectors or the pump isn't balanced right.
He would like to find a solution to this little annoyance.
Thanks

Nobody?
I did read another post about 370's and how they surge at low rpm's because of their incorrect spray pattern.
He wants some better options on injectors, smaller is fine with him, he's thinking marine 300's, I though maybe a set of 215's and bump the plate forward a bit more.
