If you did not reinstall the factory program before the truck was repaired, the shop could have reflashed your computer, so now the superchips thinks its trying to install to another truck. If this is the case i think you have to send the superchip back for a reflash.

I was thinking of getting a superchips unit, are they worth the $400 or should I just get an EZ for $100 more?

Not looking to bomb it yet, just wake it up abit.

Auto Trans going to hold the increase?

superchip wont install

I contacted place where i bought the chip (so. cal motorsports) they were not suprised when i told them about the problem i was having, it has evidently happened with others, i wanted a new one sent immediately, no dice gave me a name and number at superchips to send back to them i guess i,m on the hook for shipping and having to wait. i debated between these, and van aaken i.m not to impressed so far

Next time get an Edge.
Van Aaken is/has a junk warranty/customer service.

hipsi,

The Superchip is nice but you will probably be like most other folks and want more HP soon after you install it. It's a great product but just doesn't make as much HP as others out there. The Edge EZ is very popular, we sell lots of them, I might also reccomend the van Aaken, same install as an EZ, more low end torque, and costs less to boot! They have been in the Dodge diesel HP biz since they first came out with a 24 valve etc. Call us if you have any questions etc we'll be glad to help you.
