Hey Guys,

Just installed my super chip, exhaust and AFE Intake...Sounds sweet and she gets up and goes! Not looking for ARM WRENCHING power, but this package sure threw you back in your seat...Anyway, Its on the HIGH PERFormance setting right now. I always tow small stuff, and soon I will be towing sleds up to Tug hill, Ny...My whole out fit weights less then 2k.

Trailer -638lbs
Sleds (2) 1000 pounds total. So thats roughly 1700 pounds. I know it says NO towing on the highest setting, but I mean, 1700 pounds is nohting...My truck didn't even feel it when It was stock. So, what do you? Can i leave it on high performance setting while towing my sleds? I mean, I read on here that a guy was towing on high performance setting with no problems....?(light loads) Its 4 hours away from my house where I ride. I was looking at my dash and the temps for anything didn't go up any more then they did what it was stock, with the chip, even when I hammered it...Thanks! Opions are appreciated! -Chris

If you have gauges, do whatever you want on High-Perf... Just watch your EGT... With that little weight I probally wouldn't worry a bit.

If you wanna be safe put the mid level program in for the trip, but you should be fine.

I want a superchips, but I still don't have the money for gauges, so no programmer for me yet... But I tow more than you do, and I do it pretty much all the time.

1700 lbs is a joke. I ran an EZ/275 combo pulling that much weight and was hard on it and I never had an EGT problem or tranny problem. Go for it. Just be resonable.

Thanks Gentlemen...Thought so...I mean, it stands to reason, if i can't feel it with my stock set up, what makes me think I will feel it with my NEW and IMPROVED set up?

So, my next question, and final one hopefully for this thread...I tow a tandem axle trailer around (alittle under 1000 pounds) plus a BX 23 Kubota...NOt sure on the weight, but total I"m sure is around 3500 pounds...Is this now crossing the line towing with the High performance setting with that much weight? WHat are your expiriences? Thanks Guys...

I pulled a construction type trailer like you see hauling a backhoe or other equipment with a big john deere tractor on it with my superchips tuner on the highest setting and had no problems at all.Not sure of the weight but I know it was heavy. The truck didnt like to take off very well but once I got going I had no problems.I know the wight was much more than 3500 pounds the trailer alone was probably close to that.

pulling my dads trailer this week (about 3500) no problems in HP mode, not even close on the temps.
