I am new here and have a few questions. First CTD always driven PSD
I have a superchip microtuner I Am having problems with.
I have sent it back to superchips twice now and they have yet to fix the problem.
On deceleration the engine sort of surges. vroom vroom sound and when I get to about 20mph it smooths out to idle just fine. The tach does not jump around but engine does. Does anybody know what the problem might be? Are there some trucks that just aren't compatible with certain chips/boxes? I don't think I'll get e refund so pretty bummed. I should have bought the edge like I was going to!
But liked the ability to adjust speedo.
Also do these trucks tend to get louder when installing a box? And How much throatier will my truck sound with a 4" strait pipe. Then it is with the muffler delete? Is it louder with the resonator off?

First off...Welcome converted PSD member
Second I think a straight pipe and a muffler/resonator delete are the same
Either will sound
As far as your Superchips tuner I dont have any experience with them so maybe someone else here can chime in

 

Welcome! You won't find many (or any) Superchip Tuners on this web site. I've never played with one but have read lots of negative comments...similar to yours. Sell it and get an Edge would be my uninformed opinion!

A guy lent me his superchips tuner for a couple days and I wasn't impressed.

Didn't feel like it did anything.
Idle sounded different and exhaust smelled funky.
