Not trying to get anything started, but on another site they are doing a group buy on these right now. Might be worth looking into. PM me for more info.

Re:super chips programmer?
I know, this is a Dodge forum, but I have a Superchips programmer for my 7.3 Powerstroke Excursion. It pepped that thing up like nothing I would have imagined. It's a 1-ton chassis and about 8000# gross wt. It was a PIG off the line and it sucked diesel like you couldn't believe. With the Superchips programmer, I got a solid 2 mpg at the pump and a much peppier vehicle (haven't dynoed.) Was it worth the $349.00 I paid? Every cent!
Just my $349.02!

So for the price should I get this or should I get an ez? I dont understand what all this thing has and is that really the module, the pic of the red thing? What can it read, the computer wise? Someone help me, I am interested but not sure! Also how do you adjust the different levels?
And what does "dual octane" mean?
Is this it?

WHIFF
Which programer? The hand held deal or a chip? How much extra hp? We have the 130hp/300Tq on our Excursion that will push you back in your seat.

Re:super chips programmer?
As far as whether or not it's better than an Edge, I can't say. The little red thing there is the programmer. You hook it up to your diagnostic port and press a few buttons. In a matter of minutes (literally) you get more HP out of your stock chip. The beauty of the programmer is that you can reprogram it to stock when you take it to the shop so it won't void your warranty. You can also diagnose what's making that annoying "CHECK ENGINE" light come on if it ever does by plugging the programmer in. The downside is you can't get as much HP out of a programmer as you could out of a new chip.
Hope this helps!
TxCummins04,
I have the programmer. It has 2 programs: quoted at 50 hp and 80 hp. I have it on the 80 hp setting. It doesn't throw me back into my seat, but it does have a little pep in it. It's fun blowing little wannabe sportscars off the line and seeing their smoky faces!

Re:super chips programmer?
You just need the programmer - nothing else. It can be stacked with the other fuel boxes that some of us are already using.

Sorry to say but they (dealership) can do a check on the computer and that will show that you have interupted the normal operation of the computer.
