I got to tow my mini excavator today. Total load with trailer, auger, bits, buckets & machine is around 12k#. The charger did everything I wanted it to do. I ran Smarty sw4 default & Adrenaline PL04 [timing 10, fuel stretch 1800]. I pulled a few big hills & some were from dead stop at bottom. To my surprise, this charger spools better with a load. It felt about the same as my old 62/71/14 as far as spoolup goes, but cools things down better. My max egts were 1276* & 55psi boost from reading on Pulse monitor datalogger. I am very happy with this setup & my brother is very disappointed that I will be keeping this charger.

Great review on the turbo!

You have more boost than me, I had 53 psi before my o-ring install, now it peaks at 50, I wonder if your boxes vs my drag comp have something to do with it, since I have one step up on the sticks. Nice to hear you like it, I like mine so far, had my charger since Feb. 08.

I'm running Adrenaline with Torque tune stacked with Smarty sw4...I'd say it might have something to do with it. The Adrenaline Torq tune is crazy lowend fueling, not to mention Smarty lowend.

You knew at some point I'd have to give you a hard time... Glad the turbo is doing what's required.

I know, I was sitting here with my fingers on the keyboard waiting to hear it. You were right, this turbo can tow.

That's good to hear its working fine for you. I guess I am gonna have to tighten up my wastegate alittle more then, I have it opening at 45psi but on level 10 I can still see 1500.

I was running the Torq tune with Smarty sw4. I was in the throttle pretty good & this thing just keeps its cool. I do have a 3rd gen turbine housing & exhaust brake. Not sure if that helps or not?

I have just an older comp tune with pump stretch at 2000, and like I said it can get alittle warm but manageable. I just finished putting a CR head on and it looks like it will flow quite a bit more air so before I play with anything I want to see what difference that makes.

Hope the CR helps you out. Let me know how that works.

I got to sled pull with this turbo for the first time last night [Friday]. I ran 2nd gear high range & had no problem at all building boost at the line. I checked the datalogger when the pull was over.

Max rpm 4116
Max speed 26mph
Max egt 1706*

I don't have a video of the pull, but a fellow member did video the pull. If he sends it to me, I'll post a link.
