Super B Single

Super B Single
Ordered a Super B Single from http://usdieselparts.com Got it in and tore out my 4" exhaust to install the new 4" downpipe. Got the turbo mounted and went to install the oil return tube and found that the control rod for the wastegate was in the way. Couldn't find a way to make it work (other than take the wastegate actuator off). Started looking around and noticed that the box the turbo came in had the markings S300G071 on it, and the Turbo is made by Schwitzer. (The ad on their website showed a Holset??) Seems like I saw somewhere on one of the sites that the S300 was a replacement for the HX40 turbo or something like that.?? Can anyone shed some light on this? I have gotten a reply back from the vendor saying that BD Power (supplier) was closed today and they (US Diesel Parts) will get backwith me tomorrow. I can't go back with the stock turbo as I have already chopped the old down pipe off. Could just take the actuator off and wire the wastegate open. Any help would be great!!

The S300 is a turbo that has been used in the tractor pulling world for years, and has showed a better rate of longer life then the HX40. I would much rather have one of them then an HX40, but to each their own. If nothing else, find a store that sells hoses and fittings, and rig something up, that's what I would do.

The picture on their site is of a holset HX40, but the description says its a "... new turbo design was built from Schwitzer S300 model series with a compressor housing and extended tip wheel results in low intake temperatures and very high air volume..."
I believe (someone jump in here and correct me if I've missed something) the Schwitzer S300 is the same base turbo as the B1 turbos.

Ok, after still not hearing back from USDIESELPARTS.com today, I decided to get my truck back on the road by removing the wastegate actuator using some wire to keep it shut and installing the return oil tube. The spool up time on this guy is slower than the stock HX35 I had on the truck. Thought it would spool up faster as the ad advised. The trubo will put out about 40psi. WOT; really don't like the way it sounds either...but I seem to be able to get a faster time and higher speed in my 1/4 mile (back road unofficially marked off) Just doesent seem right...the turbo is about the same size as the stock, except the compression side is a little wider?? Oh, well hopefully they will let me know something tomorrow.
