stupid question, EGTS what are safe for me?

i sorta know stock what is safe.... but now that i have all this **** on what can i safely hit... with this chip turned right up i smaked 1500 and i just about had my jaw hit the ground. am i gonna blow this up above 1300 or what?

I know the feeling!! And I don't have as many mods as you do!! When I first got the Quad Adrenaline, I punched the truck on the interstate and saw 1500 within seconds. I am interested to see what others have to say.

Staying at or above these temps for a period of time will indeed melt pistons but short burst of this temp should be fine. I have myself seen 1900* as well as alot of others on here so no worry IMO.

How hot are you getting with just injectors and no fueling box?

I've seen north of 1700* while drag racing with or without nitrous. With just injectors I can see around 1450 on WOT blast.

Some of the heat you are seeing comes from burning fuel in the exhaust manifold from over-fueling. JMO

I have seen *1620 with just sticks and smarty in less than 1/4. That was 30k miles ago. Truck is still running fine. Except for that dern timing shudder when it gets colder out.
