Ever since I bought my truck I havent been able to add any programmers or chip without it having a major effect on my truck. When I add the hypertech I get an unbeleivable amount of black smoke and sounds like the truck is running too much timing. I tried a Diablo PowerPuck and got similar effects. When I bought the truck it ran unlike any stock dodge I have ever ridden in. It has a wastegate blocked and I cant seem to find what it has done. Put it on several different computers to see if it has something done to the ECM but can never find anything. Please help I'm ready to start BOMBING!

 

Did you buy it used? Does it have gauges? If so what kind of boost are you seeing? From everything you have said but the comments about not being able to find anything it sounds like you have an ECM (cAtcher?)

Box tapped into the wiring and hidden under the dash? Maybe PO was trying to BOMB and keep his warranty?

 

Exactaly what I was thinking, you've got something in there that doesn't like to be stacked with other boxes/programmers.

If it drove any kinda different than every other dodge Cummins, it IS!

 

Since you're in Weatherford, and assuming you bought the truck in that area, it may well have some Dr. Performance whiz-bang reprogramming and/or a box since he's headquartered there.
