Studs, O-rings & gasket, where to buy?
where is the best place to order O-rings, ARP studs, and a new head gasket from? what size O-rings do I need, and what head gasket? do they come with machining specs?

go with a cummins head gasket, the o-ring have to be cut and pressed into a true(flat) head. for that reason i just orderd a new head with the o-rings already cut into them. i got all my stuff from puredieselpower. they were really good people to deal with.

I thought they just machined a ring into the head for which the O rings sit in? I was going to have the head decked before the O ring grooves

The "O-Rings" are Stainless Steel wire pressed into the cut.
If you are looking to O-ring and stud the truck in your sig you're going to have to get your rockers machined too..
I suggest you find if there are any diesel shops around you or with-in shipping distance (Head weighs 195 IIRC) and get it all done at once.
Get your Head resurfaced, O-Ringed, #60 Valve Springs, and get your rockers machined all at one machinist.
If you have a trustworthy machinist around your area that has the right equipment and you know he'll stand behind his product and you trust him with a item like that then I would call one of the builders on o-ring diesel heads (maybe one of the site sponsors) and ask them for the specifications of the cut (how deep) and the thickness of the wire, ect.. and give them to your machinist.
