stronger clutch

A friends 2000 ram 3500 clutch is slipping bad after putting an edge comp on. We believe it may have some injectors on it too from the previous owner. I have searched but not finding a ton of info but he can't afford a $800 south bend clutch but is there a stronger than stock clutch more in the $400 area or so that people have had good luck with? Is there any clutch style that we should stay away from? Thanks.

I think that LUK clutches are around that price range. There are a few guys who have had good luck with these. I went with the Con FE south bend clutch but they are a bit more.

you might check around you local towns and see if you cant come across a clutch builder. i picked a ceramic coated with kevlar 400+ HP for around 100 bucks at a local builder.

Centerforce dual friction

had one, lasted 15K miles, and went out... A stocker is stronger than a centerforce by far.. ID say a good southbend clutch is the way to go, if he is gonna run that truck hard, just turn downt he comp and baby the stocker for a while till he can save up 800 or so..

was reading about the 13" flywheel upgrade. This truck is for hauling heavy trailers and the only thing he is going to do is bigger exhaust (supposedly) but just the box for power mods. Is it going to be worth the extra expense for the 13" versus the stock clutch size? Thanks guys
