Strange Feeling
I was driving my truck up to canada the other day and my FMS started to show a Low Fuel Pressure signal. So at this time I stopped at the first rest area I could find and I decided I should change my fuel filter. You will have to keep in mind that I have a pusher pump and the stock lift pump. I changed the filter and went on my way, but after a few minute my low fuel pressure light came back on. I didnt have much choice but to turn around and head home. I drove 400 miles and didnt seem to have any problems with the truck. At one point it felt as if the truck started to starve for fuel or somthing, like it lost power all of a sudden, but as I put the pedal down, it seemed to come out of it. Now, I am thinking that this might just have been me being paranoid about this and may have not noticed that I let of the gas or somthing like that. But anyway, I took my truck to the dealer. They put a regular fuel pressure gague on the truck, and everything was normal. They couldnt find any codes on the computer or anything. So they said that everything was ok. They said it must be a bad fuel pressure sensor. So anyway, I drove it around some more, turned up the fueling box, the truck seemed to run fine. Now on sunday night, I was heading back to my house, and I felt that same loss of power sensation. I am thinking along the same lines, maybe I am just paranoid, but I dont really like feeling that way. Has anyone had a truck do this, or is it my imagination. I am running a Blue Chip FMS, Stage 3 injectors, stock turbo, Edge EZ, Powershot 2000 propane (but I never use it). The truck has 25,000 miles on it, and I have about 5000 miles on it since I put on the pusher pump, which is the kit from enterprise engines. What do you all think. I have put around 600 miles on the truck since I got the low fuel pressure signal.
