Whip it out. You won't regret it. Most every one thnks my truck sounds awesome. A few whiney people think it's to loud. To bad for them.

I had a local muffler shop remove the muffler (resonator was gone when I bough it) and move the tip to in front of the wheel for $40.

But it's not offical until someone points out to you that your truck is really loud, and your reply is... "Thanks!"

I am now a member and I love it. I got mad at the airport guy in an orage vest so after I picked up the wife I deffened him. That thing sounds like a ricer on steroids. I do get a lot of drone/reverb though. I am pulling the 5th wheel next weekend and I am kind of concerned. It got louder with the 6 inch tail pipe. The tail pipe is an angle cut. Should I extend it a little or turn it maybe. It is angled down now and just past the side of the truck. Don't get me wrong I love it but it is pretty loud.

Even my wife said it sounds good She said she its fun when I "goose it"
The 5" has no drone and is not raspy at all, just lets the music come through loud and clear. And the extra turbo sound is a definite plus.

My neighbor who owns an 04 CTD said to me last weekend after he heard the 5" straight pipe drive by. "It sure sounds different " I felt like asking him if that was good or bad? Figured he didn’t like it cause you think he would have said it straight out. Do I care? Nope........I like the way it sounds.
