Straight Pipe = Lower EGT's?

Straight Pipe = Lower EGT's?
Just a simple question, will going to a straight pipe on my stock 3" exhaust and yanking the resonator and muffler get me lower egt's? I plan on doing it even if it doesn't, but it would be nice to have that little added bonus.

not by much (if any) with just bd box. the stock ex. is good to around 300 hp or so. with just bd box are you having trouble with you egt's? I wouldn't think you could get it to 1350* for vary long at all

made very little difference in EGTS, about 100 degrees or so lower, i did get better sound tho, and slightly better mpg...

No, I'm not having issues whatsoever. I was just curious if it would help at all.
