Stopped for stacks AGAIN
The same one stopped me again that stopped me several months ago (illegal exhaust modified from the factory). Said I see you haven't removed the stacks yet and asked me if I was going to to which I replied no. Took the truck to the State Safety office in Suffolk today and asked them about it. They both said no problem as long as it has a muffler on it. OOPS.....
Ordered a muffler today. They both said no problems with the two stacks at all. Guess I'll put the muffler on tomorrow and see what happens next. The one was real reasonable and said no difference between putting duals on and running them out the back except you ran yours up through the bed.
On a side note, the one asked me if I was with the police when he saw the 45 hanging on my side. I said no and he said why are you packing heat to which I replied "cause I can". He said OK and walked off. COOL.................

Dude,
Just cut a length of your straight pipe, get the stainless clamps, and take your muffler on and off as necessary. I know, PITA, but that is what I am going to do to become legal for inspection. After I pass, goodbye to muffler again.
Where you carrying open? I have thought about it in the summer months, but I'm not interested in advertising what I have or don't have. I like to keep them wondering. Add to that the fact that Ohio's CCW law still has some major grey areas like carrying in a vehicle.

BAND CLAMPS!!
I love 'em on my exhaust system.
Oh yeah, isn't a turbo classified as a "muffling device"?
Watch out Joel, now that you got him, he'll be eyeing you real hard for something else to write you for.
