A right angle drill really would be a god send when installing the FASS II.

There are to many lines in that walbro install. I prefer the kiss method. So I just run a little ol' holley blue with -8 line from the tank to the vp, unregulated, and the stock return line, and I see 15 at idle and 11 at WOT with 100hp injectors and a comp.

Boy you got that right. I have a Dewalt right angle battery drill. Not sure how other guys get up there with a regular drill. I had to relocate all the brackets for my rear running boards. What a PITA!

Good numbers on your Holly.

Does BigBlue stand for the Holly?

Oh, I'm glad it does. Name brands mean Jack to me; I wouldn't buy a FASS just because I don't like the name , kinda like Guess Jeans. If the walbro set up works, it could very well be my next system. I was more making fun of the "take my toys and play elsewhere" mentality that has been exhibited by some other fellas.

No offense intended, I'm as interested as the rest to hear that your pump/regulator is working out for your (or your Dad).

Civil is a relative term. I would rather someone say, "this FASS is inferior and here's why"!, Not, "FASS is crap because it's overpriced,.... now, let me go spend 60 hours and a few hundred buck perfecting this other system that still may or may not work on our trucks".

I'm all for thinking outside the box (so to speak) but some guys just don't have the time or patience (me) to work out the bugs. I'm even more lame than the both of you, I still can't complain about my Carter, but my truck is stock.

Now that I have the FASS II installed what "extra parts" should I have on hand for emergencies?

Looking at the pump (What a great engineered pump) I see no access for brushes. Are the two ports on the red block where the regulator spring access is?

You can do it with a normal drill but it sure ain't fun. And the holes come out at an angle. Oh well. It works.

The impressive thing about my holley is that it's coming up on 2 years old and it's still doing this. My old holley black is about 4 years old and it's still putting out 25 at idle and 12 at wot.

And no, BigBlue does not stand for the holley.

How do you run the electical to it? Through the original harness or a relay set up?

i have the original FASS with a 100hp sticks and a comp and im not happy about seeing 10 or even 9PSI WOT on the fuel pressure gauge...but I've also been lookign for those regulator springs for months and cant seem to find someone who has them...i hear a change in the spring could bring me up to the 15psi range. wouldnt that be nice...i prolly wouldnt stall everytime i let off from full throttle anymore

Yes it does. It's a pretty hefty aluminium bracket that bolts to one of the bed rails. It would have been simple, but in my application I had a bunch of running board brackets I had to relocate. It's was not that big of deal to install.

OH! Wait a minute! There is a bypass, but it still goes back to the original return line right? There is only one return line this causes the back pressure. Got it!

.......................... never mind.
Yep, bypass runs from the inlet side of the VP to the Stock return line at the back of the engine.

You keep saying its a good stock replacement pump, why do you feel its only a stock replacement ? Dad`s truck is far from stock with 100hp sticks, Edge Comp box, duals and CAI. It dyno`ed 289/758 a year and a half ago with a slipping tranny. I completely understand why you went with the FASS, its a very nice kit. The warranty is a very nice part about the FASS.

Neither of us (me or my dad) felt it was worth what they asked for it, so thats why we went this route. I`ll be installing mine as soon as funds allow (blew my Walbro fund on an EZ last weekend, lol).
