Stock horsepower at the rear wheels?

It also depends on the dyno, the tranny, and so forth.
I've heard of stock 235hp SO/ 245hp HO trucks dyno anywhere from as low as 165 to as high as 220. The higher numbers tend to be at high altitude where an inappropriately higher SAE correction factor is used. (the factor is developed for NA engines, not turbocharged engines).

I was talking about this with a Midrange engineer. He said that they could do 370hp in the Marine apps all day because of the endless supply of cooling water.
As stated, the severe detuning for the Dodge app was for trannies and axles. The brutal low end torque of a full-power B series in testing annihilated the Dodge chassis and axles.
When Dodge re-designed the truck for 1994, accomodation for the CTD was one of the main considerations: large grille for big radiator, extra length for long CTD, stronger tranny and axles for tq capacity.

Marine engines get a few different parts but the engine is still very much the same. The 370 injectors are marine only and the head gasket is marine only. I say only because Cummins only used these parts in the 370 HP engines. The parts themselves can be used on any P pump engine. I have the marine headgasket in mine and you will find a lot of owners here with 370 injectors in their trucks.
