Stock auto tranny. What mods can I do?

I'm buying a 95 2500 12V 250K Miles, Which fuel plate can I use & which waste gate actuator? I want as much power as possible without hurting the stock tranny or gas mileage. I take it I will need gauges and a timing reset. What would it cost for a timing adjust & fuel filter?

Is a #100 Torque plate to much for a stock auto tranny?

I have a 95 also but it has 118k or so miles. With 250k miles I would take it easy on the transmission, mods that I like for the 95. set the timing to 16 or so, 3 k governor kit, 215 injectors with the thin washers under them, 10 plate. I made a throttle stop to go under the throttle arm on the transmission to raise the idle pressure and raise the part throtte shifts. It is a band -aid, but it works. Good luck Jim

You honostly can't even hold stock power with a stock trans, But a new vavle body and torque converter can hold quite a bit of power, and be relatively inexpensive.

Take it from someone thats been there done that and have the carnage to prove it. START WITH THE TRANNY. I know its not what you want to hear but your stock tranny doesn't even like the stock HP.Especially if you tow. I finally got mine rebuilt by PDR and just love it.
