Steering column gauge pod ?

I've got an auto meter 100psi fuel pressure gauge that I would like to run in a steering column pod. Anyone have a similar setup? Is there room to adapt the -4an fitting to 1/8'' NPT inside the pod or do i need to run an out the the pump and adapt there? Just looking for the easiest way to get hooked up. With 300k on the factory LP, I've got an idea I might need to replace it.
Thanks!

On my 3rd gen there was barely room for a 1/8" boost line under the mount.

i have an isspro 30psi fuel gauge in my truck on the column mount.

the 1/8 npt line and the lighting/power wires left barely enough room for the gauge to be pressed in.

also, i believe i had to snip the mounting studs back a little bit, but not enough so that it can't be used with the studs elsewhere.

if need be, you could drill a hole in the thing or cut one from the back/bottom. just cover your lines/wire in split loom and it would look just fine.

i like the location of that gauge. it's not one that commonly gets looked at (ever since installing the MITUSA pump). also, it really doesn't block the instrument cluster. 4x4 is blocked - but you can usually 'feel' when 4x4 is engaged. wait to start light is blocked a little bit, but nothing a slight lean to left or right doesn't take of.

I find the best place for a FP guage is just behind the 4x4 shifter. Theres not many issues if you install it here:

that's a great spot. I wish I would have thought of that prior to doing my steering column install.

i still like my column spot, but down there would allow you to run actual fuel or ss line into the truck for added piece of mind against a leak . . .

now i just need to think of another gauge to put in the column instead!!!!

Yeah I have 1/4" Swagelok SS braid to my oil pressure guage.

Fuel line is 1/8" Parker Paraflex tubing rated at 250 psi.

Yeah its a great spot until you want to plug in a scanner...
