starwheel

if i am hearing all this correctly, you can adjust your starwheel for more smoke? and you need to adjust it if you move your fuel plate? how easy would it be to get to the starwheel?

lots of poeple have it all wrong. you dont wount smoke. smoke is unburnt fuel and lots of heat.

the starwheel is in the afc on top of the injecter pump there is a plug on top you have to take off to get to it. the starwheel is made to adjust the boost to fuel ratio. as the boost goes up it pumps more fuel. it puts psi. on the afc spring and the less psi on it the more low boost fuel you will get(making more smoke).
i put a #100 fuel plate in mine and moded the afc. i put the fuel plate in the stock location and moved the afc forward. it will get too hot fast if your not careful. also my clutch will not hold(a stock trany would friy). i'm going the get a new clutch then a bigger turbo to match the fuel.

you souldnt do anything to your truck if you dont have gauges.
you will kill it fast.

heres a pic of it all

this is the afc housing
the boost pushes the spring moving the afc arm

this is the fuel plate and the afc arm
when you get anuff boost the afc arm is moved and the fueling arm can hit the fuel plate
