i would build a heat sheild around the pipe across the bed maybe diamond plate to make it look good and cut some vent holes in it as well so stuff doenst get too hot. burnt rubber that isnt from the street is not a good thing. if you cut the opening in your bed an oval shape, it will lower the pipe down so its flat with your bed. good luck!

Mine, 3x6" box out to 5" pipe to 6" mitres...

More pics here....

I like not having a big Y pipe setup taking up space in the bed...

As for water drainage, 5" flexpipe under the truck should let out water when it gets in the stacks, either that or maybe make some covers for them if you have some real downpours...

I oval cut the hole, and the cross Y-pipe is about 2" off the bed. This puts the low end of the miter right even with the top of the cab w/36" stacks. I drilled a small hole in the bottom elbow to drain. The only time it gets much on the truck is a heavy rain or dew, then it loosens the soot inside and makes black rain.

my friend drilled a hole on his exhaust and tacced a nut and put a bolt in it like a drain hole to let water out works just fine.
