ok guys i just put the new stage 6 injectors in from BD and the power is amazing. they are rated at 165hp but now my egts are way up. just cruising at 70 its at like 900 to 1000 pre turbo. after the turbo , its likt 720. WOT it pegs 1500 quick. with the turbo i have from ats, its a to small i think for my setup. with what i have in my sig, how would the sps66 do for me? would it be a good choice since this is a DAILY driver. any imput would be nice. thanks.

I think that the turbo would work great for you, by reading your sig, you have more fuel then i do. The turbo works great for me, i am seeing about 48psi of boost and the truck flys. Once it lites, hold on because it will pin you in the seat. If you do end up getting one, i would look into purchasing a smarty or a Catcher if you can find one, it will help tremendously with spooling the turbo at lower RPMS. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thats what I figured,.... not to steal your thunder or anything but I figured I'd post em up for ya =P

So tell us more about the SP66- what rpm does it light at and does the boost creep up to a certain psi then take off? FWIW for the the smarty didn't drop the rpm the turbo would build boost at, but rather made the turbo build boost faster with a lighter load from the same rpm. JMHO.

How is your tonneau cover holding up with the stacks? I'm wanting to put some stacks on my truck, but ruining a perfectly good cover for them is a bit discouraging. Any problems with melting or the holes tearing larger?

I have not had any problems with the tonneau cover yet, it is holding up really well and it has not melted at all. The actual stacks dont seem to get very hot. I drove the truck for an hour the other day in 65 degree weather and as soon as i shut the truck off, i could hold my hand on the stack for at least 15 seconds and it did not burn me. I was amazed at how cool it really was, i thought for sure it would scortch my hand but it did not. I do carry a fire extinguisher with me just in case though. I see how it can be discouraging to cut holes in a good cover, but as long as you measure correctly and have the holes cut a little bit bigger to give a gap around the stack you should be fine. I have about an 1/2in gap all away around the stack. I had a boat cover shop cut and stich up the holes so that they would not tear. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

A little more about the Sp66. It seems to light at about 1700 to 1800 rpms. The lag is really not that bad, i would say that it has to be the same as the Super 40 was. It does pull harder then the 40 does too. It seems to be harder on tires as well, because the tires want to break loose when the boost comes on, so i have to be more careful when i step on it to make sure the truck does not come around on me. Driving around with the overdrive off and at about 50 mph and 2000rpms and flat footing it, the truck is gone it hits 90mph extremely fast and with no lag. I usally run out of road before i can kick it into overdrive. Driving on the highway, the truck wants to run at about 80 to 90mph with very little peddle which is to fast and will get me in trouble. There is no lag running on the highway at 75 mph and about 2000 rpms, i punch it and i am doing well over 100mph in a blink of an eye. When i was driving back home from installing it at my friends garage, my buddy was behind me and he could not get over how fast i was going and he was having a hard time keeping up,(97 12V). I told him that the truck just wants to go and that i hardly had my foot on the gas pedal.

The sp66 is a direct bolt on as long as you already have a true 4in down pipe and clamp, if not then you will need one of those and will have to cut your current exhaust to accept the new 4in downpipe.

Boost at 60 to 70 mph is between 3 and 5psi, Egts are pretty good, they are a little bit warmer then they use to be untill boost is on, then they fall back down. I have not been able to see what the max EGT is because it is hard to keep my eyes on the road when i am going over 100mph, but when i get it on the dyno this weekend, i will make note to see what they get up to. Running empty down the road at 65 to 75mph the are about 700 on flat road and will rise to 850 or so going up a hill. I will have to keep an eye on my gauge more, but this is what i remember seeing. I dont drive the truck every day now like i use to, only now when the weather is nice, which it has not been
