Stacks Rattle
At the risk of sounding like I did a half way job, I have a question. Ever since I installed my single stack, I have had a terrible rattling issues. Every time I find where the exhaust is touching something I adjust to compensate and it seems it just keeps settling someplace else and is driving me nuts. The main problem area is where the plumbing comes through the bed. It seems that no matter how much I adjust and tighten it keeps settling on hole and rattling my truck to death. Anyone have this same problem and have a good remedy. I even went as far as puting a rubber "Gasket" all the way around the hole so there is no metal to metal contact but it keeps on rattling. Thanks.

I used regular exhaust clamps on the bed, with the ends going down through the bed floor and washers/nuts under the bed to securely mount the cross pipe. This keeps everything tight and in place. No rattles.

Oh nevermind. I forgot you only have a single stack. Maybe put an extra brace right underneath the bed and use an exhaust clamp to hold the pipe to the brace. You did use a piece of flex pipe somewhere, correct?

I used the stock exhaust hangar that is right where the piping goes up through the bed, I just welded a couple 1/2" bolts from the hangar onto the exhaust piping. My stack is solid as a rock, it doesn't vibrate at all.

If anything...mine is half baked.....my flexpipe is just laying on the crossmembers and the 90's are just clamped to the stack and the stack is bloted to the bedrail with a 6" chrome stack clamp, all through the 6" hole in the bed....... no supports no braces, nothing rattles at all.

I did use flexpipe and the stock hanger but I turned it sideways so it would go up higher so the pipe didnt drop down low. Everything is tight and my clamp for the stack itself is tight and has no flex. It just makes contact and rattles. Ill figure it out.

Mine is bolted right to the bottom of the box. The hole in the bed is also really tight on the pipe going through (almost don't need bolts). I have no rattle issues.
