stacks and a plastic bed liner?
im gonna be installing some stacks on my truck in the next couple weeks and was wondering how the heat would react to the plastic bed liner i have in my truck. i use my truck a lot for hauling firewood and stuff like that so its nice with the plastic to soak up the shock and being able to slide stuff is also a plus. im would think that they would get a little to hot for the plastic... but ive been wrong a few times. so anyone with any tricks as to how to make this work would be appreciated. or if i dont have to worry about it then it will make things quite a bit easier

just keep the the plastic about an inch away from the pipes and you should be fine... the worst i have ever done is melt plastic bags on mine but i have had a lot of paper on them and no fires, you should be ok...

I dont have one in mine, but my buddy does. His never melted at all, although I have quite a few pop bottles cooked onto mine. He has a 4" pipe coming thru the bed, and I think I drilled out his bed to 5" and he hasnt had a problem.

I have a drop in plastic liner in mine with stacks. Dont have a problem with it. As long as the stacks arent right up against the liner you will be fine. I have more trouble with soda bottles, plastic bags, and styrofoam cups melting to mine. I wouldnt have that problem if i wasnt so lazy and would find a trashcan.
