Stacks on outside of bed????

Has anyone tried stacks on the outside of the bed (Like they have on the older Pete's with the handles and guards)...

I ask because I luvs the looks of them, but I have a truckcraft dump body that I use during the summer and it would not fit with stacks. I also have a 115 gallon aux tank that would get in the way with an in bed mount.

Comments / opinions please

JB

I would love to do the same thing so i dont have to worry about them getting wrecked in the bed or burning something.

That truck isn't mine. It is a fellow TDR members truck, Merrick Cummings. I've seen other pics, than what is in his albums on the TDR, but none showed the way the exhaust was installed.

I have some old pics of my truck on the TDR, but they were prior to the flatbed and stacks.

personally I would look into notching the bed at the cab so the stacks would fit inside, would look stock. i have a SRW so no stacks for me just wouldn't look right
