my miter cuts were black about 3-4" down from the edge... I never cleaned them because I thought it looked cool

Okay, this might be a stupid question, but ... why, when you go from a conventional exhaust system to stacks, do you get more smoke? I've got the same setup as need12v, VA and 275 but a stock exhaust, and I can stomp on the pedal only to leave a haze behind me. Would I see more smoke with a 4"?

I'd like to do the stacks, but don't have the welding skills ... is it tough to learn?

Stacks won't add smoke. You need more fuel to make more smoke.

It looks like you have more smoke because it is right in your rearview mirror, whereas you have to look out the side mirror to see with down exhaust.

The injectors are SWEET!!! Not as dramatic a difference as putting the EZ on, but you can definitely tell the sticks are in there, at least the clutch can LOL I have slipped it once or twice, but I was kinda in race mode ("hey, lets see how fast it is now") and in normal driving, I can get along without slippage. That's ok, it's getting a south bend this summer sometime, then maybe a TST comp for more fuel...
We're running outta daylight, so the smoke pics will probably be tomorrow.

That's what I thought. I guess the benefit of having two stacks, right behind your head, would make it appear like there's more.

No Welding involved if you go with a pre made kit

Yeah, I know, but I like the crossover pipe that a couple of the guys have made, the 4x6 (?) tube that lays across the bed. It leaves much more room in the bed and can easily be hidden with some kind of plate. What kind of welding equipment would be needed to accomplish this task? Maybe I can just draw up a schematic and bring it to a welder.

i have been thinking is water an issue with the miter cut pipes? i wouldn't want to think about water getting down in the exhaust system and causin headaches.

or do you get the gynormous coffee cans and pop them on there when it pours out?

If you don't know how to weld I think it would be very easy just to draw up the demensions and shape and just have a welder do it and it probably wouldn't cost much at all to do something simple like that.

That's what I'm thinking, I much rather the look of the square tube. Does anyone have a schematic they would like to share?
