forrest, i thought you said you wouldn't go back

i would like stacks on the next truck i get, but i've been un a truck with a 4" exhaust, 5" stacks, and a resonator. it sounded awesome with the resonator to cut back the raspiness, but man, it was still loud in the cab.

btw, how's the whole rain/soot shower thing?

I wasn't planning on going back, but I guess I just got bored

funny you mentioned the resonator... I ordered a dynomax bullet last night... gonna set it up so I can swap between it and straight pipe quickly/easily. it sounds great, but it'll wear on ya on the highway and I've got over 250lbs of lead sheet lining the interior! LOL! if I had an extended cab, I think I'd be fine. it's the sound waves resonating off the pipes bouncing off the glass right behind my head. if I lean forward, it's not so bad. also, I have no stack mounts/exhaust hangers holding the stacks... might experament with that.

a downside is that everyone is commenting that the stacks are quieter than the old 5" straight pipe... I knew that would be the case, but I didn't realize it would be THAT big of a difference!

I took a couple empty windshield washer fluid jugs and cut the tops off and I've got them sitting behind the seat... I just put 'em over the stacks when it looks like rain or when I go to the coin-op wash. no shower yet... a couple little spots when it rained on me for an hour or so at work.

Hmmm... it's probably just me then I don't mind my stacks at all, its my terribly homemade downpipe that's resonating, going to do something about that when the truck comes back. I actually drive with the window down so I can here them until it gives me a headache (it hurts so good ) Then I roll it up and it is not very loud at all. BUT we need some pics!!!
