stacking with edge ez.....
Ok guys what would be a good programmer to stack with a edge ez. It came on the truck when I bought it and I really dont want to sell it and start again. I havent got a lift pump put on it yet but I will very soon. I just want to know what would stack good on this chip. Its a 2001 5spd... THANKS

If you're looking for a programmer, your options are pretty limited. The programmers will do about the same thing the EZ is doing, so you won't see much gain by running both.
If you're looking for more power, you can get a TST and run the TST and EZ together. That's a pretty nice combination that allows you to keep the EZ.

He is right on the Tst combination with the ez. I had that on my old truck and it would fly. The only thing is I lost my injector pump twice. You will have to do something to the fuel system or the same thing will happen if you drive it too hard.

No use running the Smarty with the EZ. You'd have to run the Smarty on fueling only and they are both good for about 65hp standalone, so wouldn't see much (if any) difference over your current setup.
As for the silencer ring, when you pull the intake tube off the turbo, you'll see a snap ring holding the silencer ring in the inlet. Find the notch in the snap ring and use two small screwdrivers to work the snap ring out of it's groove. Once the snap ring is out, the silencer ring slides right out.

smarty is fuel and timing, ez is timing only, you would see the fueling difference but the smarty has better timing than the ez, I used a comp and a smarty and it worked great, but more timing and fuel than the ez alone. I would do injectors, its my favorite combo right now

Actually, the EZ is also both fueling and timing. But it's fueling within the limits of what can be provided through the VP44 by the computer. For more aggressive fueling, you have to tap the wire on the VP44.

Depending on our budget look at our XZT or 120hp Xzillaraider box. They are fueling only and offer HUGE bang for the buck.
Even the XZT will feel like double the EZ because of the low end fueling.

Ive never had it on the dyno so i cant really say. But i love it. Its perfect for the street and the power is awesome. Its towable and it works well for me. Also if you plan to do a turbo and injectors it'll be good for that too. Someone take a look at my sig and give us an idea of what it makes. Thanks guys!!
