Stacking with Comp?
I still have a diablo power puck, but edge comp will be here soon , is there any use in keeping the puck, besides as a back up? They're both timing and fuel at least, so would stacking just add even more fuel(probably too much?) and would timing get "added" to each other? I do not want to try and see how it works, seems like a no no. Is there any knowledge on this, is it possible to predict how the two timing changes will interact? Thanks, Scott

It is just my opinion, if you are getting a comp get rid of the puck and buy a TST Powermax III. Those two put together are awesome. My buddy had those stacked on his 02 and it was friggin quick.

Ok I just realized I am an idiot. I was thinking the Edge EZ stacking with the tst. Like J7 Diesel, get the drag comp or as I call it the "Hot Comp". It won't be on the edge website, it is dealer only. I have it and I love it.

Sell the Puck and pocket the cash, Comps are just fine by themselves, Stacking with a TST would be alot of uneeded $ spent as both boxes tap the wire, and you cant have both taped. A TST with an EZ would be better fit. Or TST/Smarty stack. But a Comp only performs well by itself

Wow lots of responses and fast! Thanks, I figured the puck would probably be sold off. I've heard this "drag" comp? so it's a software upgrade? I need to find an edge dealer to get it done, how much does it cost and gains? I tried to find out what a drag comp was before with no luck. Thanks

Bravo, you might have to do a search on different diesel power websites. I can't remember off hand where I got mine from, but I do remember the price casue I was an airman when I bought it. It was like $950 for it. I scraped for a couple of months to get it.

It's $125 I believe to upgrade your comp To a Hot Drag Comp. You can deffenitly tell a difference they say it dosent make any more power but still makes power past 2700 Rpms. But deffenitly feels stronger all over.

I agree farm boy, but I never had just the comp, I bought mine with upgrade already on it. I haven't drove one with just the comp, but I wouldn't mind just to compare.

i agree also i have had just about every box on my truck (except the Qzilla... yet) and i love the adjustability and power of the drag comp. i ran a comp and like they said above there are no power gains by going to the drag comp but i could feel it, what it is supposed to do is move the defueling from 2700 to 3200, but like i said it feels alot stronger and runs really hard. i think its worth the 125 bucks, you can just go to the edge website and get the info there. see link
