stack question .....home made assembly
I wanted to ask you guys who have that home made square tubing assembly for your stacks if it sounds and different then the bent exhaust pipe kind? I picked up some cheap stacks and am thinking about making that square tubbing assembly for them. Does it sound any different then the manufactured tube kits? Doesnt look as good but for the price difference it would be worth it to me as long as it sounds the same.

I went with the square tubing with my stacks, actually it's 5"x7". I don't know if it's the 5 inch pipes or the tubing, but the sound is really deep. If you don't feel like building your own, there's a website that just sells the pipe. The website might be blackclouddiesel.com . I'm not sure on that though.

I went with the square tubing idea at first. But i switched it out for a y-pipe. My buddy came up to me after i switched and told me it didn't sound like a tin can rattlin down the road. Pipe has a much deeper and louder tone.
