Do you find that better than just running on the Comp? When you say 5+1 is that 5 timing or power?
Thanks for your help.
Cheers

yea the smarty really brings up the power on the low end. 5x1 means level five, low rpm fueling set to 1. anything more than that and it smokes like crazy. like blackout 4 lanes crazy. on the smarty i got the revo settings, timing default, duration default, torque 6, and speed 250.

That's about how I ran mine as well when I had my smarty with my current mods.
Do not run double timing!
With smarty, odd programs have timing, even programs don't have timing.
I'd run my juice on 5x5 and smarty on 8 for racing. And normal driving was juice 5x5, smarty on program 2.
I always ran smarty with default timing, default duration, and torque on 6.
Awesome low end, felt like it fell on it's face in the high rpm though.
On the dyno with just the juice I put down 464 hp and 873 tq. With the juice and smarty stack, I put down 432 hp, but 960 tq.
So you can see, the smarty gets ya goin, but it the higher rpm's where hp is best, it lacks.
Then again, I might've just been over fueled, that was when I was running a 62 65 12 as a single.
But I've heard the same kinda stuff from others too.

I never really saw a dif mileage wise. But I didn't get my smarty for mileage ha ha.

I've got an older Comp on my 2000 stacked with the Smarty. I always leave the Comp on 5x5 (the highest setting) and regulate smoke with my right foot. The Smarty software I use is the mileage software with added timing. I noticed about a full mpg better with the Smarty (I had the comp first). It doesn't smoke much with my injectors, which are pretty mild.

I should probably add to my earlier post that Marco warns not to tow heavy after flashing with the Smarty mileage software due to the aggressive injection timing. The Edge Comp further advances the timing on top of this. I have seen no issues whatsoever and know a couple others who are doing the same thing I am, but it's worth reminding people of Marco's warning, especially if they're running bigger injectors.

The ez or any chip for that matter connects under the hood where as the smarty is through the obdII port under the dash. So yea, you can leave any chip plugged in and still mess with the smarty.
